Today the wind is howling and I feel the twinges of concerns for others. I accept these thoughts. I sent prayers to others. I let the thoughts rise and fall and drift away. Here in my oceanside cabin on, fierce winds buffet the shore, the branches of the old tall pines crack and fall to the ground.
In a very simple way, I can see when worries and concerns buffet my mind. Just notice that. To take care of my mind, I can simply let the worries and concerns rise and fall away. Practice just that. That is one aspect of the work, of practice.
